Rosana Expósito is a slow, made to order fashion brand based in Glasgow. The brand launched in July 2019 and focuses on making clothes and knitted accessories from ethically sourced natural fibres, and deadstock/vintage fabrics and yarns. Deadstock fabric is often fabric that has been leftover and unused by mills and bigger brands. Traditionally these unused/surplus fabrics and yarns would be sent to landfill but now a lot of them are being re-sold to small brands like us!
Rosana designs with the sensory comforts and joys of wearing clothes in mind. How clothes feel on your skin, how they move around your body, and how the fabric breaths is integral part of the brand and the clothes we create. The vintage fabrics we source also play an important part in leading the design process. Influences and silhouettes from renaissance art, the 1960’s and 1970’s can be seen referenced throughout our collections.
All clothes are made with care and attention to detail by the designer and a small selection of freelance seamstress’ in our Glasgow studio. We also take on a small number of bespoke and custom orders each month where we work to the design brief of our clients provide. In the past we have created special dresses for bridal parties and guests alike.
